Rent to Own Lease Plan

The Southern Portable Storage Solutions rent to own lease plan is a great way to get a storage building. You simply pick out your building, pay a small down payment, and we will delivery your building. After that make the monthly payment every month until the term of the lease is up and the building is yours. Lease terms are twelve months, 36 months, 48 months or 60 months.

There is never a credit check on rent to own plans and everyone is approved. should you no longer need or want your building before the lease term has expired you can simply call us and we will pick up the building and there is no adverse effect on your credit.

How much is the payment?

The amount of rent to own payments depend on the size of the building and the term of the lease. Payments are comparable to storage rental payments, but with our rent to own you can own the building at the end of the lease.

How much is the down payment?

The down payment is normally equal to about two or three months payments.


What if I had a Southern Portable Storage Solutions building in the past and turned it in before the lease was paid out?

No problem. Returning a building before the lease is paid out does not adversely effect your credit rating nor does it reflect adversely with us. If you want or need a building now, come on in and we will be happy to rent you another one.

What is the interest rate on the rent to own?

Because the rent to own plan is a lease and not strictly a financing loan there is really no interest rate. While there is a term, there is no real expectation that you will necessarily keep the building for the term. If you get a building through the rent to own plan you will have more in total payments than the cash price of the building. On longer terms you will have considerable more invested.

Is there a surcharge for late payments?

Yes. Payments are due on either the 1st of the month or the 15th of the month depending on when your building was delivered. There is a five day grace period. After that there is a late charge.

Will the rent to own plan improve my credit score if I make timely payments?

No. The rent to own lease will have no effect on your credit score for good or ill.

Will you repossess my building if I am late on the payments?

It is to our advantage for you to keep your building. If for temporary reason you are late or cannot meet the terms of the lease we can sometimes make adjustments to allow you to keep your building. If you stop making payments and do not notify us we will assume you no longer want the building and we will pick it up.
